The Future of Peer Support Supervision
This presentation describes a participatory action research approach to knowledge building in the area of supervision. Following a series of focus groups, iterative coding, and the development of 71 competency statements for supervisors, quantitative statistical methods were employed to determine importance, criticality, and frequency of competencies identified in the data obtained from supervisors and peer support specialists. Implications for practice and future research are discussed.
